Privacy Policy

ZipPDF does not collect, store, or transmit through our own servers:

• The content of any PDF or image file you open, compress, merge, split, protect, convert, or save
• Passwords you enter to unlock or password-protect PDF documents
• Your name, email address, phone number, or other personal account credentials (no account sign-up is required)
• Your credit card number, bank account details, UPI ID, or payment credentials (all payments are processed directly by Google Play)
• Your precise GPS location
• Contacts, messages, call logs, microphone recordings, or unrelated personal files on your device
• The content of your PDF files for advertising, profiling, or analytics purposes

All PDF operations are performed locally using on-device processing. Files are selected by you and saved directly to storage on your device and are never sent to us for processing.

To provide app functionality such as the History feature and user preferences, ZipPDF stores limited data (such as file names, file sizes, compression dates, compression levels, favorite status, dark/light theme preference, and locally cached Pro entitlement status) in the App's private local storage on your device. This local information:

• Remains locally on your device
• Is not accessible to TechieHit Solutions or our servers
• Is not transmitted to third-party services by ZipPDF
• Can be cleared using the App's history controls and is removed when the App is uninstalled, subject to standard Android backup and device behavior

ZipPDF uses Android's built-in system file picker and document access mechanisms so you can choose specific PDFs or images to process without granting broad access to all files on your device. In addition, the App declares the following standard permissions:

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used on Android 13 and above solely to send a local notification when a PDF compression task completes in the background.
• Google Play Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING): Used to enable optional in-app subscription purchases and restores via Google Play.
• Internet & Network State: Used solely by Google AdMob (to load advertisements for free-tier users) and by Google Play Billing / RevenueCat (to verify subscription status and process purchases). Never used to upload your PDF files.

ZipPDF does not request or use permissions for:

• Camera
• Microphone
• Contacts
• Location (GPS)
• SMS or Call Logs

ZipPDF uses Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google, to display advertisements to users on the free tier. If you have an active ZipPDF Pro subscription, advertisements are disabled in the App.

When advertisements are enabled, the Google Mobile Ads SDK used by AdMob may automatically collect or receive certain information from your device and your interactions with the App. Depending on the SDK configuration, ad request, device settings, and applicable consent choices, this may include:

• IP address, which may be used to estimate the general location of the device
• Advertising or device identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID or app-set identifiers
• Information about ad impressions, taps, video views, and other ad interactions
• App and SDK diagnostic or performance information, such as app launch time, hang rate, or energy usage
• App and product interaction information relevant to advertising and measurement

Google may use this information for purposes including serving and personalizing advertisements, measuring advertising performance, analytics, fraud prevention, and improving its advertising services. Information collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.

Ad personalization and the information processed by Google may depend on your device settings, your consent choices, applicable laws, and the configuration of the Google Mobile Ads SDK. You may receive personalized or non-personalized advertisements depending on those factors.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may be asked to consent to personalized advertising and related data processing, or you may be offered non-personalized or limited advertising. Where a privacy-options entry point is required, you can use the privacy options provided by the App to review or change your advertising consent choices.

ZipPDF does not use Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics to track your personal usage or document activity. However, third-party SDKs integrated into the App—specifically Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), Google Play Billing, and RevenueCat—may process limited diagnostic, performance, and transaction reliability data as part of providing their respective advertising and subscription management services.

If standalone analytics or crash-reporting services are added in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

ZipPDF offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (ZipPDF Pro, available in Monthly and Yearly plans) that unlock premium PDF tools (Batch Compress, Merge PDF, Split PDF, Protect PDF, PDF to Image, and Image to PDF), unlimited compression history and favorites, output file renaming, and an ad-free experience.

Payment Processing via Google Play Billing: All subscription purchases and financial transactions are processed directly by Google Play through your Google Play account. TechieHit Solutions does not collect, receive, process, or store your credit card numbers, debit card details, bank account information, UPI IDs, or billing addresses.

Subscription Management via RevenueCat: ZipPDF uses RevenueCat (operated by RevenueCat, Inc.), a trusted third-party subscription infrastructure service, to validate purchase receipts with Google Play, manage Pro entitlement status (zippdf_pro), and enable you to restore your purchases across sessions or Android devices without requiring you to create a personal account with us.

When you view subscription offerings, make a purchase, or restore purchases, the RevenueCat SDK may collect and process the following technical and transaction information:

• An anonymous App User ID generated automatically by the RevenueCat SDK (not linked to your name or email by ZipPDF)
• Google Play purchase tokens, order/transaction identifiers, subscription product identifiers, pricing tier, and entitlement status (active, expired, or canceled)
• Basic device and application metadata required for receipt validation, such as app version, Android OS version, device model, store country/region, and IP address during API communication

ZipPDF integrates the following third-party services solely for advertising (in the free tier), subscription billing, and platform distribution:

• Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK): Displays advertisements to free-tier users. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Billing & Google Play Services: Processes in-app subscription payments and provides core Android distribution services. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat (Purchases SDK): Validates Google Play subscription receipts and manages Pro feature entitlements. Governed by RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

ZipPDF does not use any third-party cloud or online services to upload, store, compress, merge, split, protect, or convert your PDF or image files. All document processing is performed locally on your device using embedded open-source PDF processing libraries (such as Apache PDFBox for Android).

ZipPDF is not directed specifically at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at support@techiehit.com so we can address the matter.

Because ZipPDF does not upload your PDF files or require an account with TechieHit Solutions, we do not store your documents or personal profile on our servers. You have the following controls at any time:

• Local Data Control: You can delete individual or all compression history entries inside the App, or remove all local App data by clearing storage or uninstalling the App.
• Subscription Control: You can view, manage, or cancel your ZipPDF Pro subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings (Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions).
• Advertising Controls: Free-tier users can manage advertising consent preferences (where applicable) or reset/delete their Android Advertising ID in their device's system privacy settings, or upgrade to ZipPDF Pro for an ad-free experience.

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EEA, UK, Switzerland, California, or India), you may have additional statutory data protection rights regarding data processed by third-party service providers (Google and RevenueCat). We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including when we add or change features, subscription offerings, advertising configurations, or third-party services. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" and "Effective Date".
